Ok..... these really aren't the best pictures I have ever taken, but these bugs were too weird to not post about. We have seen some really strange incects while living in Uganda , but this has by far been the most colorful!
They are blue!.... no this is not some photoshop trick or tecnique... they are really blue.
We found them in pairs living on the discarded wood of our beloved ficus. There were 10-12 of them roaming around, paring off. I haven't a clue where they came from.... it their eggs were in the tree, or if they just stopped by for a visit.... either way, they were shy and hard to snap a good close up picture of.
